Emmy Rossum: 5 Things You Didn’t Know About The Actress

Emmy Rossum is an actress and shoe star.

The famous face on “Shameless” is friends with industry insider Paul Andrew and attended the CFDA Awards with him in June.

Here, FN shares some shoe secrets and fun facts.

1. She owns about 50 to 60 pairs of shoes in her personal collection.

“I would say probably 50 to 60 pairs of shoes. I’ve been wearing mostly Paul Andrew for the past few months, including his shoe [collaborations] with J.Crew and Tanya Taylor. I also wear a lot of Chanel and have their ballet flats in light blue, light pink, etc. I like Alaia for shoes that are fun. I don’t really work with a stylist, I’m self-styled, so in my world, I need more shoes.”

2. Rossum is a trained Opera singer.

The actress starred in the 2004 film of Andrew Llyod Webber’s famous production “Phantom of the Opera.”

3. She is mostly a flats girl.

“I’m definitely a flats girl for every day, unless I’m going to a meeting where I feel the need to present myself in heels. Ordinarily, during the day I wear flats or a loafer, but at night I exclusively wear heels, even with boyfriend jeans or a t-shirt. When the sun goes down, the heels go up.”

4. If she could be a shoe, it would be a strappy high sandal.

“A satin or suede strappy high sandal in a color. Something that’s fun and high enough to be sexy, but wearable. I never like the shoes to be so ridiculous that you can’t actually wear them. That’s how I cook and how I decorate my house, too: refined and elegant, but still touchable and a statement.”
