Jessica Simpson Shines in Daisy Dukes For Her Spring ’15 Campaign

Jessica Simpson is bringing sexy back in Daisy Dukes. In the campaign her spring ’15 line, the designer and mother of two dons a number of looks — including short-shorts paired with peep-toe fringe heels. The photos were shot by Gilles Bensimon in Arizona, and the campaign was styled by none other than Simpson herself, along with her mom, Tina. According to insiders at Camuto Group, one of Simpson’s favorite looks was a long black dress paired with a belt from the collection.

“For the Spring 2015 campaign, my team and I packed our bags and hit the dusty trail, traveling eight hours — by tour bus — from Los Angeles, California, to Sedona, Arizona,” said Simpson. “The campaign was shot by one of my all-time favorite photographers, Gilles Bensimon. The passion he puts into his work gives me the confidence to follow his vision — even when it takes me to the side of a cliff in six-inch heels! Somehow he captured a serene moment amidst my biggest fear! Of course, this ended up being one of my favorite shots.”

For inspiration, Simpson, who was a design partner of the late Vince Camuto, said she turned to a specific region in the U.S.

“This season, the collection is influenced by the Southwest – turquoise jewelry, worn denim and tons of suede and fringe,” Simpson added. “The styling is easy and free-spirited.”

It has been a while since the star has sported Daisy Dukes — think back to when she turned heads in the 2005 movie “The Dukes of Hazzard,” alongside Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the Spring ’15 campaign shoot, including a cameo by Simpson’s husband, Eric Johnson.
