5 Men’s College Tournament Ballers to Watch

The NCAA men’s college basketball tournament begins Thursday, and while Kentucky is the favorite going into the tournament, there are plenty of teams ready to knock them out and go on a championship run. Here are five players to watch in the tournament, not only for their game but for what they’ll be wearing on their feet.

Aaron Harrison – Nike Kobe X “5AM Flight”

Kentucky plays team-first basketball, sacrificing individual stats and personal achievements for wins. But it’s hard not to recognize any one player as exceptional, and this season Harrison was a go-to scorer for the Wildcats, dropping 11.3 points per game. But if you’re a sneaker addict and you’re more interested checking out his shoe game than his game on the court, the sophomore guard has been caught in the Kobe X “5AM Flight,” a bold blue lagoon colored boot with black swoosh and red accents.

Frank Kaminsky – Adidas Crazylight Boost

The forward for Wisconsin is one of the best players in the country. Averaging 18.2 points per game, the senior star was instrumental in helping the Badgers land a one-seed in the tournament. If you’re looking at his feet more than his inside game, you’ll see him wearing the Adidas Crazylight Boost in the Wisconsin red and white.

Montrezl Harrell – Adidas Crazy 8

Louisville will need big games from Harrell to make it deep into the tournament. The6-foot-8 forward is the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 15.7 points per game. On the court, Harrell has been seen in a number of Adidas sneakers, like this blast-from-the-past, the red, white and black colorway Crazy 8.

Kyle Wiltjer – Kobe 9 Elite

Gonzaga landed the two seed much to the help of Wiltjer. The junior forward averaged 16.7 points per game for the Bulldogs, and will need his scoring to get through a tough south region. On the court, the forward has been seen in a bold and flashy pair of red and white Kobe Elite 9s.

Joseph Young – Nike KD7

The Oregon guard is among the top scorers in the nation, putting in an average of 20.2 points per game. Led by his scoring, the Ducks landed an eight seed and will face-off against Oklahoma State in the first round of the tournament. But for the sneaker fan, what matters is what’s on his feet, and Young has been spotted wearing the KD7 with a bold green boot with yellow swoosh and accents.
