Adidas had soccer fans on the hunt this week in New York.
Still celebrating their triumphant win at the Women’s World Cup in July, U.S. team members and Adidas athletes Heather O’Reilly and Becky Sauerbrunn gave New Yorkers a chance to take home their own replica of the Victory Box that Adidas gifted to the players while they were in town for BlazerCon this past weekend.
After several days of the athletes dropping cryptic clues on their various social media channels, more than 30 fans turned up to claim the coveted box at East River Park in Brooklyn. Kelly Platt of Staten Island ultimately scored the prize, which contained all-white Ultra Boost and ZX Flux sneakers, a Stan Smith gold watch, a necklace and signed memorabilia.
