Air Jordan 11 Retro Low True Red Hits Shelves Saturday

One of the most celebrated and sought after Air Jordan silhouettes and colorways will once again be available for purchase. The Air Jordan 11 Retro Low True Red will make its way to retailers Saturday.

The shoe – worn on the court by Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls 1996 NBA Finals championship run against the Seattle SuperSonics – will be available in a low top version for the first time, with an all black upper consisting of mesh with a patent leather overlay, a white and translucent red outsole, and red lining.

The coveted shoes will have a $170 retail price tag for men’s sizes, $120 for grade school sizes, $75 in preschool sizes, and $55 in toddler sizes.

The shoe’s popularity has never waned in the 19 years since its original release. A pair of game-worn Air Jordan 11 True Red sneakers, autographed by the Bulls icon, received a winning bid of $17,126 in June 2014 during an auction hosted by N.Y.-based Grey Flannel Auctions.

On Monday, former Duke Blue Devils guard Tyus Jones, before heading to the NBA Draft Lottery at the New York Hilton Midtown, was spotted at Foot Locker on 34th Street shopping for shoes while wearing the shoes, which have not yet hit shelves.
