Although today’s most popular player, LeBron James, sells millions of sneakers for Nike, the best player of all time, Michael Jordan — who’s been retired for more than a decade — sells more. Now, fans of the Chicago Bulls legend and sneaker heads alike will be able to get one of Jordan’s most beloved signature shoes on Saturday.
The Air Jordan Retro 13 Low will come in the celebrated Playoff colorway, originally released in 1998.
The sneaker features an all-black upper, with hints of red on the tongue. The shoe also features a red lining and a gold Jumpman logo near the ankle. The outsole is white, black and red. The Jordan Retro 13 Low will have a retail price tag of $160.
This classic silhouette in the black-and-red colorway isn’t the first Jordan retro signature shoe in those colors to hit retail shelves recently. The iconic Air Jordan 11 sneaker was released in the True Red colorway on May 23, complete with an all-black mesh upper and a patent leather overlay, with a white-and-translucent red outsole and red lining. Worn on the court by Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls’ 1996 NBA Finals championship run against the Seattle SuperSonics, the sneaker retails for $170.
