Air Jordan 8 Chrome Drops Saturday

Jordan Brand wants to make sure the sneakerhead in your family has plenty of retro Michael Jordan signature shoes under the tree on Christmas Day. The label will release another classic shoe from its deep and rich catalog on Saturday — the Air Jordan 8 Retro Chrome.

The men’s shoe will retail for $190. It will also be available in grade-school sizes for $140, in pre-school sizes for $80 and toddler sizes for $60.

According to the brand, the Chrome iteration of the Air Jordan 8, which hasn’t been in stores since 2003, is one of the first non-original colorways of the shoe to be released. The shoe features a predominantly black nubuck upper with chrome accents and an overlay from the midfoot to the rear with a pattern consisting of tonal grays and white. It also has classic elements from the original Air Jordan 8 shoe, from its gray tonal chenille patch on the tongue to the heels’ graphic details and the “23” on the midfoot straps.

This past weekend, the label released two of the baller’s most-sought-after shoes, a Boston Celtics-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 1 and the 72-10 edition of the Air Jordan 11, arguably the NBA legend’s most popular signature sneaker.
