Yeezy Fans Camp Out For 48 Hours To Get The Black 350 Boost

Kanye West is a fashion force to be reckoned with. After it was announced that the rapper’s all-black Adidas Yeezy Boosts 350 will go on sale in stores on Saturday, fans have begun to line up for the release two days ahead of the launch.

Stores holding a first-come-first-serve system included retailers throughout the UK and have caused a frenzy among Yeezy fans. So far, hundreds have lined up 48 hours in advance in anticipation of the release with security guards in tow.

The latest edition of the sneaker features an all-black Primeknit upper with dark gray accents. The shoe has an all-black outsole featuring Adidas’ Boost cushioning technology and laces in dark gray with black accents.

Reservations through the Adidas Confirmed app closed in less than an hour on Wednesday, leaving fans no choice but to wait in line for a pair of the exclusive kicks this weekend. It took just 42 minutes, after Adidas announced via Twitter that reservations were open, for 350 pairs in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago to be reserved.

In the United States, other retailers such as Extra Butter NY, Bait and Shiekh Shoes are holding their own in-store raffles. The all-black Yeezy Boosts are at such high demand that winners at the Opening Ceremony locations in NYC and L.A. will be escorted by a security guard to their car, cab or train. Public transportation is not recommended per Opening Ceremony’s website.
