The Carolina Panthers are the NFL‘s last remaining undefeated team, as the Denver Broncos pulled off an overtime win last night at home against the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots, 30-24.
With Peyton Manning sidelined due to a torn plantar fascia in his foot (as well as rib and shoulder injuries), 25-year-old quarterback Brock Osweiler took command of the offense — and did not disappoint Denver fans. The fourth-year quarterback out of Arizona State threw for 270 yards in the Nike Lunarbeast Elite TC cleats, completing 23 of 42 passes with one passing touchdown. As a starter this season, Osweiler is now 2-0 and has thrown for 396 yards and three touchdowns.
Osweiler wasn’t the only Broncos player who had a big game. Running back C.J. Anderson ran all over the New England defense on the snowy Sports Authority Field at Mile High in his Nike Code Pro 3/4 cleats, rushing for 113 yards on 15 carries, including a pair of touchdowns. Anderson scored the touchdown that sealed New England’s fate, taking a pitch from Osweiler 48 yards to the end zone on Denver’s first possession in overtime.
