Running brand Brooks is readying to launch its first collaboration with Japanese retailer Mita Sneakers with the debut of “Enchantment” Beast 1.
The limited-edition style, Mita sneakers x Brooks Heritage, evokes classic imagery of fairytale monsters with its fur-colored brown pigskin suede upper and rope laces, while reimagining the iconic ’90s technical running silhouette of the Beast 1.
Tonal variations accentuate the shoe’s weight and form while contrasting pops of color at the heel and sole tell a modern-day story. The shoe maintains its original running technologies such as a molded TPU heel counter and logo, air mesh vamp and quarter, pebbled leather detailing and a compression molded EVA midsole. The sock liner features images of thorns and fencing as well as the Brooks Heritage an Mita sneakers monograms and a “Tokyo Custom Made” logo. The style even comes in a novelty fur printed shoe box.

The “Enchantment” debuts on Oct. 24 at Mita sneakers in Japan and online at Mita-sneakers.com before going on sale around the world on Oct. 31. It retails for $150.
