Athletic footwear and apparel retailer Champs Sports has released its first smartphone mobile application geared towards sneakerheads. The app is available to download now in the Google Play and Apple App Store.
“We’re excited about offering our new app to our customers across the country, and we look forward to frequent updates that will focus on bringing them information and convenience in finding the freshest shoes and apparel they are looking for each and every week,” said Dave Lokes, VP of marketing, for Champs Sports, in a statement.
The app, according to the Bradenton, Fla.-based retailer, created the app to enhance the digital experience for sneakerheads by showcasing upcoming sneaker releases, release dates, and release locations from one source.
The app features a release calendar, not only showing users when sneakers are coming out but allowing them to add the release date to their iCalendar or Google Calendar. It also features a launch locator, which will show users what stores will carry the shoes they are looking for.

Other features of the app are its store locator, which will give the user the address of the Champs location nearest to you, it’s store, which allows the user to buy the retailer’s product offerings, and its VIP section, which allows users to sign up for the Champs loyalty program that lets you track spending and get access to upgrades.
