Concepts & New Balance Collaborate on Independence Day Release

Just in time for Independence Day cookouts, barbecues and parties comes a collaboration inspired by the holiday between Boston-based brand New Balance and Cambridge, Mass.-based retailer Concepts.

Inspired by American heritage — with a nod to fireworks — the retailer utilized the brand’s classic NB 575 silhouette for the new M80. The shoe’s upper is all suede, featuring the material in a light washed red, blue and black denim in a bandanna-style print. The rest of the upper consists of a cream-colored suede surrounding the bandanna patchwork print. The shoe’s outsole is white with a gray bottom, with insoles that are also Independence Day-themed, with a look reminiscent of vintage fireworks.

Further celebrating the holiday, the sneakers will be packaged in a fireworks-themed shoebox.

The collaboration will be available at both Concepts locations, in Cambridge and New York, with an online release to follow.

The shoe will be available July 1 and will retail for $160.
