The fight that boxing fans have wanted for years has finally arrived, with Floyd Mayweather facing Manny Pacquiao on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Mayweather — who doesn’t have an official footwear sponsor but fights and trains in Reeboks — is favored -190 over his Filipino opponent, according to vegasinsider.com. Pacquiao, who’s sponsored by Nike and has boxed wearing the brand’s HyperKO shoes in past fights, is a +170 underdog to Mayweather.
On Wednesday, Nike released a video of Pacquiao training for the highly anticipated fight, showing the boxer vigorously working out in the brand’s Free Trainer 5.0 V6.
Pacquiao, an eight-division champion, spoke about his training regimen and said that for this fight, the highest-profile fight of his career, it’s important to train physically, mentally and spiritually.

“I love to have people around me while I’m training. But you have to prepare your mind, train your mind,” Pacquiao said in the video. “When you focus, you don’t have to worry about, ‘Oh, what am I going to do? Maybe I’m not ready,’ or anything like that. You have peace of mind, and you’re ready to fight.”
