Russell Westbrook’s Jordan Signature Shoe Selling Quickly

NBA superstar Russell Westbrook’s first signature shoe hit shelves on Saturday in two colorways — all-white and all-black — and both are selling quickly. The all-black version is already out of stock on Jordan.com.

The street-ready Jordan Westbrook 0 has a clean, modern look in keeping with the basketball pro’s fashion-influencer status. And with its simple colors, it can be paired with almost any outfit. “It was important for the shoe to embody my sense of style and have the potential to be dressed up or dressed down,” Westbrook said in a statement.

Jordan brand pointed out that the sneaker pays homage to popular Air Jordan silhouettes. The ribbing accents on the all-leather upper were inspired by the ballistic mesh upper of the Air Jordan XI.

To get the word out about his sneaker, Westbrook took to social media last week, posting photos of the shoes on Instagram and Twitter and counting down the days until the release. On Saturday, he visited a Foot Locker House of Hoops store in Oklahoma City, Okla., to meet and greet fans.

While the Westbrook 0 debuted this weekend in just black and white on Jordan.com and in Jordan partner stores, a gray colorway and a red version are set to hit shelves on Aug. 1. Click through the gallery above to see those looks.

The shoes are retailing for $130 — a price that Westbrook said was kept intentionally approachable.

“Growing up, I did not have the access or the means to buy shoes for lifestyle and fashion purposes,” he said in the statement. “I wanted to make sure my shoe was accessible to kids.”
