Just yesterday, Footwear News announced that the magazine will honor Kanye West with its “Shoe of the Year” award for his Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers, which debuted to tremendous fanfare and sell-out crowds this year.
But the Yeezy Boosts are certainly not West’s first foray into shoe design. In addition to his previous partnership with Nike, the hip-hop and fashion icon has collaborated in the past with A Bathing Ape, Giuseppe Zanotti and Louis Vuitton.
And a lucky sneaker lover can now get his — or her — hands on multiple styles from that stellar 2009 series with Louis Vuitton.
Seller “tony3630_3″ is offering eight items on eBay from the Louis Vuitton x Kanye West collection, for a total package price of $60,000. Included in the offering are five versions of the Don mid-cut laceup style, and three versions of the Jasper high-top in various sizes. (Little-known fact: The Jasper was named for West’s pal and personal stylist, Ibn Jasper.)

According to the seller, the shoes have never been worn and all come with their original boxes, bags and extra laces.
Originally, the Jasper kicks retailed for $990 to $1,140, and the Dons for $870 to $960, but the resale value for this coveted collection has skyrocketed over the years. A single item was selling last spring for $20,000 on its own, which makes this latest package from tony3630_3 a bargain of sorts.
And isn’t it worth it to own a piece of fashion history? After all, the collection could only increase in value if rumors of another collaboration between West and LV come to fruition.
