Nike To Release Air Foamposite One Blue Mirror Tomorrow

Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway was one of the most popular players in the NBA throughout his 14-year career, mostly during his days of playing alongside Shaquille O’Neal for the Orlando Magic. And though injuries plagued his career, keeping him from shining the way many thought he would, his Nike signature shoes are one of the best that ever hit the court.

The Beaverton, Ore.-based athletic giant is set to release a new colorway of Hardaway’s most popular shoe — and the most innovative for the time it was released: the Air Foamposite One. Originally hitting stores in 1997, the shoe returns tomorrow with a mirror finish, a concept that debuted in 2012. The Air Foamposite One Blue Mirror will retail for $275.

The shoe features a mirror finish with hits of royal blue, a nod to the first Air Foamposite One. Although the upper is dominated by the blue mirror finish, black makes appearance along the tongue and collar, with white swoosh branding near the toe cap. The shoe features elements from the original that made it a beloved silhouette, including the Penny branding that appears on the heel, the sole and the footbed, and the tonal gray carbon-fiber shank. The shoe is tied together with an icy translucent outsole.
