Nike to Release Original Air Force 1 Silhouette on Saturday

Nike routinely releases its classic silhouettes for a new generation of sneakerheads to collect. On Saturday, the brand will unveil a limited quantity of the original version of its most recognizable sneaker, the Air Force 1.

The Nike Air Force 1 Retro High QS, the popular basketball shoe that originally hit shelves in 1982, will once again be in stores more than 30 years after its debut. The original high-top version of the shoe will be available in a simple, clean white-and-gray colorway.

The shoe’s upper is predominantly white, with the gray swoosh and lining providing its only contrast. The outsole is also mostly white, with gray lining the bottom of the shoe. The sneaker also features its original white nylon tongue, with gray atop the tongue in a Nike Air logo. But perhaps the most recognizable feature of the shoe is the white canvas ankle strap.

The shoe, which  has already been released abroad, will make its U.S. debut at select Nike accounts this weekend, at a price that has not yet been revealed.
