Nike To Release Cork Edition Of Air Force 1 Mid

Nike’s cork releases are extremely popular and a favorite among sneakerheads. Fans of the material will soon have another shoe to pick up, this time on arguably the brand’s most popular silhouette, the Air Force 1.

The Air Force 1 Mid will be the next shoe from the brand to receive the cork treatment, though no release date or retail price has been announced, but images of the shoe have surfaced on the websites of retailers abroad.

The shoe boasts an all-cork upper, with black accents in the swoosh logos on the side of the shoe and tab on the shoe’s ankle strap, with black on the lining, laces, and outsole. The outsole is predominantly white, with infrared on the bottom. The infrared color is repeated in some of the shoe’s accents on the ankle strap and tongue.

Back in April, the brand gave one of its most popular silhouettes, the Air Max 90, a cork makeover, with a $135 price tag. Released April 24, the shoe featured the same color treatment as the Air Force 1 Mid.

Cork became a popular and sought-after material for sneakerheads following the release of the LeBron x EXT Cork, released in 2013, which sells today on sites like eBay and consignment stores like Flight Club, starting at $775.
