Nike Foamposite One Olive Drops Friday

With cooler weather coming, Nike is opting to release some of its most popular silhouettes in natural tones. On Friday, fans of the brand’s classic basketball shoes can pick up a past favorite in a more subdued color palette.

The Nike Air Foamposite One Olive is set to hit stores with a $250 retail price.

An olive Foamposite shell dominates the shoe’s upper, which is complemented by its velvet brown leather trim from the collar to the toe box. Velvet brown also makes an appearance in the lining, with the shoelaces a combination of olive and velvet brown. Black is visible on the shoe’s tongue, heel tab and carbon-fiber shank plate. The shoe is brought together with a gum rubber sole.

Nike has been updating its Foamposite silhouettes lately by incorporating natural tones, most recently with the Air Foamposite Pro Gorge Green, which hit stores on Sept. 4. That shoe – which retails for $230 – features a black, gorge green, metallic gold and gym red colorway. The Beaverton, Ore.-based brand has also released several iterations of the Air Foamposite One this year, including the ever-popular Gone Fishing edition, dedicated to the teams that were eliminated from title contention in the NBA playoffs. The shoe was released on June 20, retailing for $250.
