Nike To Release FootballX Safari Pack

Nike is going back to its roots with the release of the FootballX Safari Pack, offered in three colorways. The soccer shoes are a nod to the athletic brand’s 1987 Air Safari running shoe, which was done in an ostrich-skin print.

Legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield was behind the design that shocked the shoe world. Since 1987, the print has appeared on a handful of Nike products.

The indoor/court shoe features a fitted collar for added ankle comfort. The Hypervenomx is a white-and-black print with teal accents. The Magistax has a solid black toe fading into a black-and-gray print with purple accents on the swoosh, and the Mercurialx’s black upper is given a pop of color with red accents.
