Nike’s KD 8 Hunt’s Hill Night Hits Stores Wednesday

Nike released the KD 8 Hunt’s Hill Sunrise on July 25, a nod to the neighborhood intersection boasting a 75-foot incline that NBA superstar Kevin Durant would perform basketball drills on day after day. On Saturday, the brand will release another edition paying homage to the intersection, the Hunt’s Hill Night.

The latest edition of the KD 8 will retail for $180.

The shoe boasts a night silver and deep pewter upper with black highlights coming in the swoosh logo, Flywire cables, tongue and lining. The upper also features a tumbled gray Hyperposite overlay from the toecap to the heel. The shoe’s outsole is green glow with a full-length Zoom Air unit.

According to Nike, the shoe was made with Durant’s post training mentality in mind, stating on its website that “after taking on the 75-foot incline 25 times, KD went home for dinner hungry, and knowing full well he wanted nothing more than to do it all again once the sun rose.”

Watch on FN

Hunt’s Hill Night is the first KD 8 release of Durant’s signature shoe for September. Throughout August, the brand only released one edition of the KD 8, Suits, on Aug. 14. The shoe paid homage to the suit Durant wore during his MVP award speech for the 2013–14 season.
