Nike Kobe X Elite Mambacurial Drops Saturday

The NBA preseason doesn’t kick off for about a month, but Nike is taking advantage of the anticipation of basketball’s return by releasing another edition of Kobe Bryant’s latest signature shoe, the Kobe X Elite.

The Kobe X Elite Low Mambacurial will hit stores Saturday and retail for $200.

The shoe’s upper is black, wolf gray and pink flash, with black and pink flash taking up the outer side’s exterior, while wolf gray and pink flash makes up the inner side. The outsole is wolf gray and black, with an icy translucent overlay. The tongue of the shoe is wolf gray with black accents, including Bryant’s logo at the top.

The Mambacurial features the same Nike technology used in the other Kobe X releases, including a Flywire upper for breathability and support, Lunarlon cushioning for responsiveness, multidirectional flex grooves to allow toes to spread naturally, Zoom unit in the heel for low-profile cushioning and Flywire cables for an adaptive fit.

The Kobe X Elite Mambacurial is the first Kobe X release for September. The last Kobe X silhouette to hit stores was the Overcome, which was released on Aug. 27. That shoe’s upper features emerald glow, court purple and reflect silver, and while much of its upper is emerald glow and court purple, its reflect silver swoosh is the upper’s most prominent feature.
