Nike’s Original Air Max 95 Neon Colorway Returns Wednesday

For the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 95 OG, two Nike designers reimagined the iconic Air Max 95 silhouette, releasing a version for men and women on July 16. On Wednesday, fans of the sneaker will be able to pick up the shoe as it originally appeared on shelves.

The Air Max 95 OG will hit stores in the well-known neon colorway, with a $160 price tag.

The shoe’s upper features a black-to-light gray gradient, with black appearing closest to the outsole and light gray appearing closest to the tongue. The shoe has a black outsole, with volt making an appearance inside the visible air pockets. Volt also appears on the shoe’s eyelets and the swoosh logo near the heel.

The brand released the Air Max 95 Ultra for men and women last week, with retail prices of $185 and $125, respectively. For men, designer Ben Yun created the Air Max 95 Ultra Jacquard, which boasts a one-piece constructed upper with Flywire technology and a lightweight woven-jacquard. For women, designer Dylan Raasch created the Air Max 95 Ultra, with an upper that boasts the pattern of the original upper, except reversed, with the light gray closest to the outsole and the black near the shoe’s tongue.

On July 2, the brand released the story behind the making of the original Air Max 95, showing the skepticism about the style from some people at the company. The shoe went on to become a sneakerhead favorite.
