Kate Middleton Out In Black Suede Pumps Again – Here Are 10 Times She Wasn’t

Unlike your common celebrity, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, has certain requirements of her image: Namely, she can’t exactly look like she buys a new outfit every day of her life on the British subjects’ dime. That’s why Kate Middleton is often photographed in variations of an ensemble she’s (gasp!) possibly worn to other events. That’s a good thing, right? Still, those watching her royal feet can’t be blamed for getting disproportionately excited every time she wears new shoes.

This was not exactly the case when she appeared at the Barlby Primary School in London today to name its art room. The six-months pregnant Middleton wore a flattering navy maternity dress with pink detailing by Madderson, paired with opaque black tights and her go-to black suede platform pumps.

Now, no one really wants to make a lady in her third trimester wear anything but her most comfortable shoes. Even if she has loads of other interesting options at her disposal. So, to satisfy your yen for Kate Middleton style, take a look at this gallery of 10 times she didn’t wear black suede pumps (or their summer counterpart, nude pumps).

Kate is a fierce brand loyalist. And given her busy schedule as a mother and public figure, it must be a badge of honor to be one of her chosen few. She’s worn a number of Jimmy Choo pumps and sandals on the red carpet. For a more casual look, she turned to a pair of navy Stuart Weitzman wedges for much of the past two years. At a recent event she also wore some very practical Stuart Weitzman low-heeled boots with a stretch panel in the calf. She’s a big fan of Aquatalia boots too, donning calf-length, booties and wedges by the brand. L.K. Bennett is another brand of choice, for sandals and pumps.

One more shoe question remains: Now that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have a shared Instagram account, will Kate ever be tempted to post her new shoe finds?
