Olivier Rousteing Sends His ‘Balmain Army’ Down The Runway At Paris Fashion Week

If you don’t yet know what the “Balmain Army” is, you certainly will now. Balmain’s social media-loving creative director Olivier Rousteing affectionately dubbed the ladies who wear his designs the “Balmain Army,” and today he sent them marching down the runway in Paris wearing his bold, sexy designs.

Led by Kendall Jenner, major models were on hand including Gigi Hadid and sister Bella, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldson, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lily Aldridge.

Last night, Kendall and Gigi arrived to a party in Paris wearing exclusive designs from the collection before the looks even hit the runway. Jenner wore a pair of black lace-up sandals that showed up on the runway, while Hadid paired her look with Christian Louboutin nude So Kate pumps.

The show was set to Michael Jackson songs including his 1996 song “They Don’t Care About Us.” The models donned Balmain’s signature mesh, netting, strappy, suede and belted looks that fit Balmain’s jungle queen-meets-urban aesthetic.

The footwear was equally bold. Jourdan Dunn’s suede mini-dress was paired with emerald green sandals made of thick suede interwoven straps. There were plenty more lace-up sandals that made a statement but were still ultra wearable.

We wouldn’t be surprised if these ladies got to wear these looks straight off the runway onto the streets of Paris.
