NYC’s Stadium Goods sneaker store will be taking its business far beyond the streets of Manhattan with the announcement of a new partnership with Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba.
More specifically, Stadium Goods has teamed up with Tmall Global, which operates under the vast Alibaba Group umbrella. This will allow the consignment store to sell its product directly to overseas consumers, taking advantage of the bustling Chinese marketplace.
“As a leader in the sneaker marketplace, we’re excited to be partnering with China’s most premiere destination for selling and buying,” said Stadium Goods co-founder and CEO John McPheters.

Although Alibaba has had highly publicized struggles with counterfeit merchandise, the partnership with Stadium Goods will give shoppers the assurance that they’re buying authentic sneakers.
“We believe together, Tmall Global and Stadium Goods will offer sneaker enthusiasts throughout China the most premium level of customer experience and authenticity for the Chinese consumer,” McPheters said.
