Cara Delevingne Stars In New Saint Laurent Ads

CARA PACKAGE: The love affair between Hedi Slimane and Cara Delevingne continues.

The Saint Laurent designer has chosen Delevingne as the star of his advertising campaign for La Collection de Paris, the selection of 42 looks he showed during Paris Fashion Week in the house’s first presentation at its new couture salons in the restored Hôtel Sénecterre.

Slimane posted four black-and-white images of the British model to the Saint Laurent Twitter account on Wednesday. Photographed in New York on March 17, they show Delevingne alternately wearing a black tuxedo, a black sequined bustier dress with an oversize buckled belt, and a dramatic heart-shaped fur coat.

Delevingne did her first campaign with Slimane for the Saint Laurent grunge collection in 2013 and the two have worked together regularly since then. His latest designs have a strong Eighties inspiration and have found favor with Lady Gaga, who wore a gold dress with puffball shoulders from the collection for her 30th birthday celebrations in Los Angeles last weekend.

Earlier this week, Slimane unveiled two images of Jane Birkin in a separate campaign for the brand’s Le Smoking tuxedo. The multitasking creative director has previously tapped female musicians including Joni Mitchell, Marianne Faithful and Courtney Love to star in his advertising images.
