Salvatore Ferragamo is extending its ad campaign, based on a concept dubbed “Lo Splendore della Vita [The Splendor of Life],” to the fall ’16 season, with sophisticated yet easy and playful images by Craig McDean. The Florence-based luxury house is also unveiling a new digital video, once again directed by Theo Stanley.
Model James Rousseau, who appears in the campaign, is also the singer on the short film’s soundtrack. Rousseau and the other models – Ine Neefs, Valery Kaufman and Ming Xi – play hide-and-seek at an Italian countryside villa, reprising the theme of the brand’s spring campaign.
The lush garden of the villa appears as a backdrop to the models sporting black and white checkered jackets or colorful pleated dresses. The ads feature the brand’s core accessories: Classic Vara pumps and Harlequin Gancio handbags or furry totes.
