This Italian Brand of Distinctive, Lightning-Strike Heels Is Opening New Stores in the U.S.

Baldinini is known for the distinctive lightning strike heels of its premium line, Gimmy Baldinini, and favored by Milan street-stylist stars such as Clara Racz and fashion editors alike. The Italian shoe and apparel brand that launched in 1910 is continuing to expand into the American market.

Closely following the launch of its boutique within The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, N.J., in late September, the brand will shortly inaugurate units in Long Island (New York) and Miami, with both slated to open by the end of November. The Long Island space will sit within the Roosevelt Field Mall covering a 1,345-sq.-ft. surface, while the Miami space will be on the first floor of the Brickell City Center department store and will cover a 1,184-sq.-ft. surface.

“The U.S. is currently experiencing a positive moment for the footwear business, on a global scale,” said CEO Gimmi Baldinini. “This is why we will keep investing in this dynamic market.”

He noted that the brand generates 5 percent of its income from the U.S. and aims to reach 20 percent thanks to its ongoing expansion strategy. Two further stores in New York are slated for 2017, one of which will be a flagship for the label on the Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. It will be Baldinini’s first standalone store in the region.
