Saks Opens In Canada
Saks Fifth Avenue celebrated the opening of its first store in Canada today at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre. The new 25,000 sq.-ft. location will feature a new personal shopping initiative called Saks at Your Service, which brings Saks items and personal shopping services to the customer, and a new in-store Fifth Avenue Club. On Feb. 25, the 18,000 sq.-ft. Saks Fifth Avenue store in CF Sherway Gardens mall will open.
Neiman Marcus Expands To Long Island
The newest Neiman Marcus opens Feb. 19 at Roosevelt Field Mall. The 105,000 sq.-ft. store is the retailer’s fifth in the tri-state area. The store includes 32 shop-in-shops, as well as a café, spa and personal shopping service.
Sports Authority Closures Confirmed

As reported first by The Denver Post, Sports Authority is planning to close around 140 stores of its 450 store fleet. The athletic retailer has struggled recently with competition from other big-box stores such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and online giants like Amazon.com.
