And1 Brand Expands In Canada

Sequential Brands Group is bringing its athletic division And1 to Canada. The firm announced the basketball brand is now available at Wal-Mart stores in Canada.

The And1 brand was founded in 1993 and counts some key NBA names in its roster history, including Stephon Marbury and Lance Stephenson. The push into Canada is a major expansion for the brand since it was acquired by Sequential in June 2014. Sequential purchased the Avia, And1 and Nevados parent company Galaxy Brand Holdings Inc. for $100 million in 2014.

The And1 collection landing in Canada will feature men’s, boys’ and infant apparel and footwear.

Sequential Brands also manages Jessica Simpson, Martha Stewart and Heelys.
