Monte Carlo
In a $450 million transformation, MGM and Sydell Group have partnered to reimagine the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. This will include two hotel experiences: the NoMad Hotel and the launch of the new property names Park MGM.

Wynn Plaza
The ever-expanding Wynn Las Vegas has increased again with the development of Wynn Plaza, a complex featuring 75,518 square feet of luxury retail space set to debut fall ’17. The design of Wynn Plaza, inspired by Avenue Matignon in Paris, will include two stories covered by atriums and a skylight rotunda that will extend to Las Vegas Boulevard.

NHL
The National Hockey League recently added Las Vegas as the site for its first expansion team since 1997. The new franchise will begin playing at the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in the 2017-18 season.

Snapchat
Las Vegas celebrated the launch of its official Snapchat channel — @VisitLasVegas — in May by presenting DJ Khaled with a key to the Strip during a special ceremony at The Venetian.

Beauty & Essex
Like its New York location, Beauty & Essex has a pawnshop-inspired retail area that serves as an entrance to the dining space. The restaurant and lounge from chef Chris Santos and TAO Group are now open at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

‘Magic Mike Live’
“Magic Mike Live Las Vegas,” a reimagination of Channing Tatum’s hit movies “Magic Mike” and “Magic Mike XXL,” is set to debut in march at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Caesars Celebrates 50
Caesars Palace marked its 50th this year on Aug. 5, and leading  up to that date, the hotel rolled out a 50-day countdown featuring a number of events and promotions.

Libertine Social
Unveiled on Aug. 8, Libertine Social from chef Shawn McClain is the new hot spot at Mandalay Bay. The gastropub includes a menu inspired by American bar food.

Riviera Implosion
The demolition of the iconic hotel took place in June as part of the ongoing efforts to expand the Las Vegas Convention Center District. The LVCC is expected to add 1.2 million square feet.

Eggslut
The Los Angeles-based eatery has bowed at The Cosmopolitan. The menu includes a signature bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.
