Vionic and Durango Boot Support Breast Cancer Awareness Initiatives

Footwear brands Vionic and Durango are doing their share to support breast cancer awareness and research initiatives.

Vionic Group, through its charitable giving program, Vionic Supports, has announced its sponsorship of San Francisco’s Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer on July 23 and 24. This is the second consecutive year Vionic has partnered with the association and will be gifting 2,000 walkers with its limited-edition supportive Beach Noosa flip-flops as they cross the midpoint of the race in Corte Madera, Calif., at the end of the first day.

In addition to the product donation, four Vionic employees will be participating in the walk, and they have raised over $7,000 in donations to support the cause. Last year, Vionic donated 1,000 pairs of its Relax slippers.

In a separate move, Durango Boot recently donated $17,000 to the Columbus, Ohio-based Stefanie Spielman Fund for Patient Assistance. Three years into the initiative, the donation was made through sales of its bring pink Lady Rebel Western boot that began in 2015. For each pair sold, Durango donated $2 to the fund. Durango is continuing to sell the boot, earmarking proceeds through 2017.
