CFDA Designers & NFL Team Up For Super Bowl 50 Collaboration

Football and fashion are teaming up once again for Super Bowl 50, and this year promises to be a lot bigger than previous collaborations.

Fifty CFDA fashion designers have created special footballs to celebrate the 50th edition of the Super Bowl. The full list includes names like Rachel Zoe, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa and Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag & Bone.

Several footwear designers have designed footballs, too. Paul Andrew, Rebecca Minkoff, Sam and Libby Edelman and Louise Camuto have submitted designs.

Each of the statement footballs will be up for auction from Jan. 20 through Feb. 14, benefiting the NFL Foundation. The footballs will be on display in San Francisco for events throughout the week leading up to the big game.

In 2014, the League and CFDA teamed up for the first time, creating 48 helmets that were on display at Bloomingdale’s to celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII.
