Angela Bassett arrived on the red carpet Tuesday night in Los Angeles for the premiere of “London Has Fallen” looking glamorous in a black Milly jumpsuit. Bassett paired the look with Rene Caovilla Superstar sandals and some statement jewels.
These Rene Caovilla platform sandals seemed to be a celebrity go-to this week. Actress Jennifer Garner was seen in the same shoes on the Oscars red carpet.
In “London Has Fallen,” Bassett reprises her role as Lynne Jacobs, the director of the United States Secret Service, in the sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen.” Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman also star in the film.
Besides her scene-stealing movie roles, Bassett is known for her parts in TV’s “American Horror Story.” So far, she’s been cast as the Voodoo Queen in “Coven,” a three-breasted performer in “Freakshow” and Lady Gaga’s ex-lover in “Hotel.” She is currently the only star confirmed to return for the sixth season of “American Horror Story.”
Bassett also announced that she will be directing at least one episode in the new season, making her the first female director for “AHS.”
