Actress Anna Kendrick has been hitting red carpets all over the world for her upcoming animated film, “Trolls,” which also stars Justin Timberlake. But the actress’ life wasn’t always filled with such glitz and glamour.
On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, Kendrick discussed her breakthrough role in 2009, starring opposite George Clooney in “Up in the Air.” When she was nominated for several awards for her performance, including best supporting actress at the Oscars, she didn’t quite have the wardrobe for all of the events she was suddenly attending.
“My stylist was like, ‘We need you to be wearing the perfect shoes for this outfit, but because the movie isn’t out yet and nobody knows who you are, the shoe places don’t want to loan you shoes. So can you buy a pair of Louboutins?’ And I was like, ‘I’m still poor!'”
