For shoe lovers, the BET Awards is one show to keep and eye on. Summer awards shows call for casual, fun red carpet looks, which means dresses that don’t conceal footwear and cool sneakers.
Last year, we saw Ciara and Zendaya both go for head-to-toe shimmer. Ciara wore a Wes Gorden dress paired with her go-to Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, while Zendaya turned heads in a Nicolas Jebran shirtdress and Roberto Cavalli platform sandals.
Platforms have been a popular trend in previous years, seen on leading ladies Nicki Minaj, Gabrielle Union, Eve, Alicia Keys, Keke Palmer and others.
We could be graced with an appearance this year by Beyoncé, who is nominated for several awards. She’s attended a few times in the past, even in her early days when she was still part of Destiny’s Child. At the 2006 awards, she wore embellished black sandals with a fitted Hervé Léger dress.
