6 Shoes Beyoncé Should Wear On The Super Bowl Stage

It’s confirmed: Queen Bey will be gracing the Super Bowl stage yet again. Beyoncé — who performed in 2013 to an estimated 104 million viewers — will join Coldplay during the Super Bowl 50 half-time show.

Coldplay released its seventh studio album, “A Head Full of Dreams,” in December. For the new album, Chris Martin recruited Beyoncé and her vocals on multiple songs, including the track “Hymn for the Weekend.” Many believe Beyoncé will join the band for that song while onstage on Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Back in 2013, Beyoncé gave an unforgettable 15-minute performance in New Orleans. The star brought out former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and sang nearly nine songs. For the spectacle, Beyoncé paired a leather ensemble with black Proenza Schouler booties.

This time around, Beyoncé most likely won’t be dancing around the stage, but if she does, we have a few booties in mind for her onstage look. The “Love On Top” singer was seen wearing over-the-knee boots at the Global Citizen Festival in September, so these Givenchy leather thigh-highs may be a good option for her Super Bowl performance.

Another look that would fit Beyoncé’s usual onstage style are the Christian Louboutin laceup booties, as well as Stuart Weitzman’s Dramaqueen boots. Beyoncé is a huge fan of Weitzman. In 2012, she made an appearance via video as the designer received FN’s Lifetime Achievement Award, saying, “After countless tours and TV performances and special concerts, I have literally danced a thousand miles in his beautiful shoes.” Since then, Weitzman has designed dozens of shoes for Beyoncé — including the footwear for her “Mrs. Carter” World tour.

Banking on the fact that Beyoncé will skip her signature moves during the Super Bowl, we’d like to see Queen Bey in a pair of sky-high heels. The 120-mm Blade heel by Casadei could be an alternative to her usual onstage style.

Coldplay has been performing and promoting their latest album, with a stage set full of pops of color and neon lights. Martin has worn colorful Air Jordan 4s to match, so it could be fun to see Beyoncé join in on the theme with a pair of Brian Atwood pre-fall ’16 Maka heels.

To take it up a notch, another shoe that would make a statement during the halftime show would be a pair from Paul Andrew’s exclusive Gold Collection For Lane Crawford. The $1,200 ankle-strap shoes feature gold-dip feathers and 24K gold-plated heels.
