The red carpet at the Primetime Emmy Awards was one filled with beautiful ball gowns and yards of candy-colored fabric. While there were plenty of standout moments, those gorgeous dresses also kept up from getting a better look at the shoes underneath.
“Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara always wows on the red carpet, and we usually know we’re not going to get a look at her shoes under her va-va-voom mermaid gowns. On Sept. 18, she stepped out in a pair of platform heels by Giuseppe Zanotti custom dyed to match her gown.
Another statement shoe moment on the red carpet was Joanne Froggatt of “Downton Abbey,” stepping out in a pair of Jimmy Choo platforms called Jada.

We also spied a pair of Charlotte Olympia platforms peeking out from Emily Ratajkowski’s gorgeous number by Zac Posen.
Another pair we got a glimpse of was Tatiana Maslany of “Orphan Black” rocking bright red Sophia Webster Rosalind heels.
