ESPY Awards 2016 Red Carpet Shoes

The 2016 ESPY Awards kick off tonight in Los Angeles with John Cena as host.

The awards honor the best players and moments in sports this year. In the Best Male Athlete category, it’s loaded with Under Armour athletes. Under Armour stars Bryce Harper, Stephen Curry and Cam Newton are all up for the honor, as is Nike’s LeBron James.

James is also nominated for Best NBA Player, Best Championship Performance and Best Play for his epic block in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. His Cleveland Cavaliers are one of seven teams nominated for Best Team.

There are some up-and-coming female athletes nominated for Best Female Athlete, including gymnast Simone Biles, who was just named to the U.S. Olympic Team, and Breanna Stewart, who was first pick in the WNBA draft after her UConn Huskies won their fourth straight NCAA title in March.

Serena Williams, who just won her 22nd Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, is also nominated.
