Gigi Hadid arrived in Tokyo this week to a mass of fans eager to greet the top model, who was there for appearances on behalf of Tommy Hilfiger. Hadid is the new face of the brand, and she recently launched a collaboration with the American designer.
At the airport in Tokyo, Hadid was her usual cool-glam in black sunglasses, leather pants, an oversized jacket and a pair of sneakers that we haven’t seen before. But upon closer inspection, we can see the label that says Giuseppe x Zayn, referring to the upcoming collaboration between designer Giuseppe Zanotti and Zayn Malik, Hadid’s boyfriend.
The black suede wedge sneakers feature Giuseppe Zanotti’s signature side zipper detail. Malik debuted some shoes from his collection in August in GQ magazine. The collection of four styles will hit stores in January.

At Milan Fashion Week last month, Footwear News got a look at the new collection, including a pair similar to those worn by Hadid.
In August, Malik said that he and Zanotti first met last year at Paris Fashion Week.
“Style is not being afraid to be bold about some things, or to say what it is you have to say,” he said. “I feel like Giuseppe does that with his collection — and I try to do that with my music. So it kind of works.”
