Katy Perry’s Stylist Shares Fall Favorites & First Designer Purchase

Jamie Mizrahi, the L.A.-based celebrity stylist known for working with Katy Perry, Nicole Richie and Riley Keough, recently talked to Footwear News about her favorite shoes for this season and fashion essentials. See what she had to say, here.

Favorite shoes for fall: “I am loving the Louis Vuitton gladiator boots to wear with little dresses. They help to make feminine looks more edgy. I also love anything velvet. Jil Sander made these beautiful velvet flats this season.”

The closet staple: “A black Manolo Blahnik pump.”

First designer purchase:  “A pair of Prada Mary Janes that I still wish I had today.”

Shoes I can never part with: “I love my Birkenstocks. I have a few too many pairs and still never throw them away.”

Designers I work with most: “That’s a hard one — Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, Aquazzura, Gianvito Rossi, Brian Atwood, Manolo Blahnik, among many others. I often have many shoe options at fittings.”

Brand I can’t get enough of: “Céline.”

Best event to style for: “I love any black-tie or red-carpet event. Gowns, jewels, the hair, the makeup — putting together a look for a big moment like that excites me.”

Emerging designer I have my eye on: “Sanayi 313.”

Exciting styles for spring ’17: “Off-White’s strappy sandals and Balenciaga’s square block sandals and boots.”

Mizrahi recently styled Perry when the singer decided to dress up as Hillary Clinton for Halloween. She was also responsible for the memorable ensemble Perry wore while campaigning for Clinton, which included the now-popular “Nasty Woman” tee.
