The 2016 Oscars are quickly approaching (mark February 28 on your calendar), and you can definitely expect to see some Jimmy Choo shoes on the red carpet. The brand’s evening sandals and dressy men’s shoes are often a go-to for celebrities. Therefore, when it came time to celebrate Jimmy Choo’s 20th anniversary, the brand decided to explore its many award-show hits in an illustrated video.
According to the luxury label, it has made 618 red carpet appearances over the past 20 years — the strappy Lance style is the most-worn style, followed by recent runner-ups like the Minny sandal or Kalpa platform. The video includes other fun facts, such as how many miles the shoes have walked on the carpet (46.4, to be exact).

A press release also highlighted 20 iconic red carpet moments, from Princess Diana wearing Jimmy Choo Couture in 1996 to Anna Kendrick donning 110mm nude mirrored pumps for the opening performance of the 2015 Oscars (she even sang ‘is this your Jimmy Choo?’ during the song).
“[Princess Diana] came to Jimmy Choo via her couture designers and asked Jimmy to make shoes to match,” recalled Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director. “She had an inner radiance and was utterly normal.”
For its 20th anniversary, the brand also debuted a bespoke trunk featuring 20 pairs of its most popular shoes (a total price tag clocking in around $70,000).
