It’s been a busy first two days for Kate Middleton and Prince William in India, and the royal couple took time out on Monday to pay their respects to Indian leader Mohandas Gandhi.
For the occasion, The Duchess of Cambridge took off her Rupert Sanderson ‘Pink Lady’ textured kid-leather Calice pumps. Middleton, who was also wearing an elegant off-white Emilia Wickstead dress removed the shoes as she entered a museum and memorial for Gandhi in New Delhi. (The independence leader was assassinated in 1948.)
Earlier in the day, William and Kate met with Indian entrepreneurs. And yesterday, they took part in a number of activities, including a cricket match and dinner with Bollywood stars. Middleton showed off her athletic skills on the cricket field (in Mint Velvet wedges). Clad in the label’s 3.25-inch raffia wedges, the 34-year-old impressively slugged three balls and trekked across the iconic Oval Maidan recreation grounds on the start of her seven-day royal tour of the country and Bhutan.
