Melania Trump Wears Christian Louboutin for ’60 Minutes’ Interview

“I will stay true to myself,” Melania Trump said of her role as the next first lady during an interview today on “60 Minutes,” held at Trump’s Fifth Avenue residence in New York City.

Indeed, the former model stuck to her favorite shoe label for one of the most high-profile interviews she’s given since her husband, Donald Trump, was elected as the 45th president of the United States.

The mother to Barron, one of Donald’s five children, had on a pair of nude patent leather Christian Louboutin So Kate heels.

Her So Kate pumps feature a pointed toe silhouette and a 4.75-inch stiletto heel, retailing for $675 on the luxury label’s website. She teamed the heels with a cap-sleeve red dress.

The first lady-elect is fond of Louboutin’s pumps that feature soaring stiletto heels for special appearances — a look that she has stuck to throughout Donald’s campaign bid, as well as over the years on the red carpet.

Melania also favors matching the colors and design treatments of her shoes to her dresses, accessories and bags.

Sitting alongside the president-elect, Melania said that she was eager to take on her new public role. “There are a lot of responsibilities and a lot of work needs to be done,” she said. “I will stay true to myself. I’m very tough, strong and confident.”

One of the causes she said she wants to spearhead is ending Internet bullying among young people. “Children and teenagers are getting hurt, and we need to teach them how to talk to each other,” she explained.

When asked if ending social media bullying should start in her own home with the president-elect — who has fired off abrasive tweets toward Rosie O’Donnell, among others — she responded, “I tell him all the time. But he will do what he wants to do in the end.”

Shoe designer Ivanka had on a pair of black heels, and said that although she had a large role in her father’s campaign, she doesn’t plan on participating in politics in an “administrative” capacity. Tiffany, Eric and Donald Jr. also took part in the interview.

Trump will take over for President Barack Obama when he’s sworn into office on Jan. 20.
