The SAG Awards: Standout Red Carpet Shoes From Years Past

The Screen Actors Guild Awards is being held on Jan. 30 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Two panels of 2,100 SAG members each decide the SAG Awards nominations. Then the more than 100,000 active members are asked to vote on the best performances of the year.

Nominated movie actresses in a leading role include Cate Blanchett, Brie Larson, Helen Mirren, Saoirse Ronan and Sarah Silverman. On the men’s side are Bryan Cranston, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Fassbender and Eddie Redmayne.

The awards also honor those in television, including shows such as Downton Abbey, Homeland and House of Cards.

Often the stars’ long gowns conceal their shoes, but at the best few SAG Awards, shoes have been in full view.

In 2015, Sophia Turner wore sandals with heart shapes on them by Christian Louboutin. Felicity Huffman also wore a pair of peep-toe Louboutin heels, and Emma Stone’s sheer Christian Dior Couture dress revealed her Louboutin ankle strap sandals.
