Cynthia Erivo Wins Tony Award Wearing Roberto Cavalli Dress And Ferragamo Sandals

Actress and singer Cynthia Erivo was dressed to win on Sunday night at the 2016 Tony Awards in New York.

The London native was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her turn as Celie in “The Color Purple.” Erivo beat out Carmen Cusack, Laura Benanti, Jessie Mueller and Phillipa Soo for the award, presented by Broadway veteran Audra McDonald.

Erivo wore a bold Roberto Cavalli printed, ruffled gown with cutouts on the sides. The dress concealed her standout pair of Salvatore Ferragamo Art Deco-inspired sandals. The cut-out shoes feature a black suede and gold leather stacked heel placed on a black python sole. Originally priced at $1,335, the sandals are now on sale on MatchesFashion for $534.
