Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik Shoes Officially Hit Stores Today

Rihanna and Manolo Blank’s highly anticipated collaboration, #DenimDesserts, officially hit stores this morning in London, New York and Hong Kong.

The collection features six limited-edition styles, which were designed by the duo, and features sequins and embroidery influenced by Rihanna’s hand tattoos. Prices range from $895 to $3,995.

Last year, in our most recent profile of the designer, Blahnik said of Rihanna, “[She is] the only person I love with a tattoo. I was sitting at a table with her [at the British Fashion Awards] and was so impressed. She looks like Grace Kelly. She’s just so beautiful, so polite.”

Shoppers at the New York City location were eyeing the indigo denim and sequin detail ankle boots, as well as the denim and sequin strappy sandals.

“The exclusivity and the difference in the design,” drew customer Sabrina DiMaggio to the boutique early this morning. “The fact that it accentuates Rihanna’s tattoos and it’s going to be so exclusive with limited availability — and the fact that it’s Manolo, of course.”

Fo customers who can’t get to one of the Manolo Blahnik locations, the collection is available online at manoloblahnik.com for a limited time only. Those who do get their hands on a pair will also receive a set of four illustrations of the collection sketched by Blahnik.

For Rihanna, this collaboration was a dream come true.

“I enjoy everything about Manolo,” she said to FN at her Puma x Fenty show during New York Fashion Week. “He is such an incredible human being. He’s so fun to work with, and I was blessed with the opportunity to see him create from scratch. He’s so passionate about what he does, and it makes it so worth it when you buy or wear a pair of his shoes because you know what went into it. He’s not copy and paste. He’s not letting anyone do his work. He has a small team as well. He still loves everything about shoes, and it’s so refreshing.”
