Paris-based slipper brand Chatelles is jumping on the collaboration train.
During Paris fashion week, the label debuted a new capsule collection of footwear in partnership with Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, a Vogue editor and daughter to Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis.
“[Elisabeth] got inspired by her family heritage and universe,” said Chatelles founder Francois du Chastel. “The collection includes three handmade styles reflecting the idea of a timeless luxe which is cosy, sumptuous and fantastic.”
The limited-edition shoes are made in Italy, and everything will be available on the Chatelles e-commerce website later this week. Prices from the collection range from $440 for burgundy Séraphin velvet slippers to $550 for the blue Phoenix satin mules and beige Unicorn raffia style.

While the brand is known for timeless loafers in a variety of prints, it experimented with new materials and over-the-top embellishments this time around.
“Luxury can be all about extravagance, so we played with sumptuous fabric, doing oversize bows and overflowing ostrich feathers to create this boudoir-chic collaboration,” said Chastel. “We also gave a twist to old materials, mixing it up in unconventional ways to give a fresh new spin — rich burgundy velvet mixed with glitters, deep-blue satin with feathers and hand-embroidered gold unicorn on raffia.”
To mark the collaboration, the brand hosted a party March 2 that included notable guests such as Miroslava Duma, Leigh Lezark, Aurelie Bidermann and Delfina Delettrez.
