Shoe lovers living in Toronto, listen up. Christian Louboutin has opened his first freestanding boutique in the city.
The Paris designer already has a store inside the city’s Yorkdale Mall, and his shoes are also carried in the same mall by Canadian department store Holt Renfrew. This is Louboutin’s first freestanding boutique in all of Canada.

Design consultancy Household left the building’s Victorian-style exterior in place, which in turn inspired the interior of the store, located at 99 Yorkville Ave. in Toronto’s upscale Yorkville shopping district.

Louboutin and Household aimed for an “enchanted forest” theme, complete with silver-birch wallpaper in the women’s section and birch-bark wallpaper in the men’s. Arched niches hold some styles, while others are presented on mirrored metalwork displays to show off the styles like fruit on a tree. The 2,625-sq.-ft. store features women’s on the first floor and men’s on the second.
